讲座摘要:
Abstract:
Information and communications technologies are becoming increasingly important in managing long-term health monitoring as well as transforming surgical operations in hospitals. This talk first gives an overview of body sensor networks and applications that allow continuous health monitoring of vital and motion parameters in free living environments. The talk further discusses research challenges on signal processing of physiological parameters and motion parameters, which can be used for early detection of critical medical conditions and rehabilitation. This talk also discusses the challenges of using augmented reality technologies to enhance operating rooms for minimally invasive surgery. This talk discusses the author"s research efforts on biomedical image processing and visualization techniques for computer/robot assisted operations.
