报告2摘要：The National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) opened for trading, placing Singapore at the forefront of a global movement to liberalize the electricity industry. The local industry has been restructured to facilitate competitive wholesale and retail markets by separating ownership of the contestable parts of the industry from those with natural monopoly characteristics. This report provides a brief introduction to the National Energy Market of Singapore. Singapore’s electricity industry has evolved from a traditionally vertically integrated government-owned natural monopoly to one that is structured to facilitate competition and composed by a wholesale and a retail market. Elementary descriptions of the participants in the market and the operation of energy generation and services of the market, as well as some core contents of the electricity market such as demand, supply and contracts are given. The market operation flow and the role of the generation company in the market are described in details in this report. Specifically, the genco’s bidding strategy and the dispatch schedules are the two most important contents which are introduced in details.
